Description

Help us to stand for the pursuance of innovative, rigorous and independent research in Modern History made accessible to all.
Since its establishment in 2010, the Modern History Research Centre (MHRC), based at the School of History, Archaeology and Philosophy, has for mission to support and encourage the world-leading, rigorous and independent research of established academic staff, early career colleagues and students working on topics and issues relating to modern history (early modern, modern and/or contemporary) in its widest interpretation.
We have always engaged with the wider community through the organization of a range of activities, including public events with leading scholars from the UK and all around the world. These activities were never cheap to organize, but amid the current economic crisis, regular channels of funding are running increasingly dry – and such scarcity risks having a detrimental effect on the scope and quality of our work.
Every donation – no matter how small – will help in covering our running costs and may also go some way in making it possible for us to support research projects and students in need of financial support.
If you want more information, please do not hesitate in emailing us at [email protected]
Whatever you decide, thank you for your consideration!
