Plant-based nutrition and lifestyle medicine study event 2025Info Course Information![]() Wednesday, 11th June 2025, 12-2pm on TEAMS We are delighted to invite former participants of the University of Winchester Plant-Based Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine for cancer prevention and survivorship courses to join our lunchtime study event, held via Teams. This is a unique opportunity to bring your knowledge of plant-based lifestyle medicine for human health up to date with the latest scientific studies. There will be a focus on cardiometabolic health, weight management and cancer. The event will be certified by the CPD Certification Service, and you will receive a certificate of attendance afterwards. This event will be recorded and a copy of the recording available to anyone booking a place. Programme: (timings given are GMT+1, order is subject to change) 12.00pm - Update on plant-based nutrition and lifestyle medicine, with a focus on cancer - Dr Shireen Kassam, Visiting Professor, Haematologist, Lifestyle Medicine Physician 12.30pm - Practical nutrition support for weight management - Soraya Pineda, RD with a specialist interest in weight management 1.00pm - Implementation of evidence-based dietary patterns into clinical practice, including a focus on the Portfolio and low glycaemic index dietary patterns - Dr Laura Chiavaroli, Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutritional Sciences, Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto 1.30pm - Q&A with the speakers You will receive the Teams link for the event 7 days prior to start date of 11th June.
