Death, The Gateway to Life: An Interdisciplinary Exploration of Near-Death Experiences

Edited by Dr Shirley Firth and Joanna Wilson
(2019) Published by ITP Publishing

The chapters in this book are based on papers given at the conference ‘Is Heaven for Real? Significant Implications of Near-Death Experiences, held at the University of Winchester in July 2016. The conference explored how common elements of these reported experiences might impact on what is known about the nature of consciousness, on religious and spiritual perspectives of the afterlife and the practical implications these might have for caring for people towards the end of life.

Contributors: Pim Van Lommel (M.D), Dr Peter Fenwick (M.D. FRC Pysch), David Lorimer, Marianne Rankin, Dr Paul Badham, Patrick Gaffney and Dr Shirley Firth.
