Description

You are warmly invited to the Department of Theology, Religion and Philosophy Postgraduate Seminar Day, which will be held on Thursday 7th September from 10 am - 6 pm on the King Alfred Campus, University of Winchester. If you are working on a doctorate or a master’s dissertation in the Theology, Religious Studies or Philosophy subject area, this is an opportunity to present your work to fellow-students and academic staff, discuss it with them and receive constructive feedback and advice. The charge of £5 per head will contribute to the cost of lunch and refreshments.

You are welcome just to attend the event, but we would love to receive a paper proposal from you, Please e-mail your title and 150-word abstract by 4th August 2017 to Prof. Neil Messer: Neil.Messer@winchester.ac.uk   

The day will conclude with a keynote lecture by the distinguished theologian Professor Tom Greggs (University of Aberdeen): “The God who is transcendent in our midst" (Bonhoeffer): Divine and Creaturely Action according to the Reformation. This is also the first in a series jointly organised with Winchester Cathedral, celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation and exploring its legacy for today.
